Brownish gray. It is sepia powder. In concentrated acid it is green and has black precipitate after dilution. In concentrated nitric acid it is reddish brown. Its alkaline reduction leuco body is gray and acid reduction leuco body is dark olive. Application: It is mainly used for the dyeing of cotton fiber and it is commonly not used for printing. It is suitable for pigment pad dyeing and can dye various fancy shades with other dyes. Its leuco body can dye cotton yarn and also can be used for the dyeing of silk and wool. Meanwhile it has good washing fastness and insolation fastness.
