Brilliant green. It is dark green powder. It is insoluble in water, ethanol, chloroform and methylbenzene, soluble in hot tetrahydronaphthalene and slightly soluble in acetone, o-chlorophenol, nitrobenzene and hot pyridine. Its alkaline reduction leuco body is blue and acid reduction leuco body is brilliant red. In concentrated sulfuric acid it is reddish violet and emerges green precipitate after dilution.

Application: It is mainly used for the dyeing and printing of cotton fabrics and also used for dyeing polyester cotton blended fabrics. Its leuco body is mainly used for dyeing cotton knit goods and also used for coloring plastics, soaps and papers. Its construction is same with C.I. pigment 47.
